Platinum Torch National Service Honorary registration is offered to all high school students, freshman through senior year, and all public and private college undergraduate and post-graduate students who have distinguished themselves by their commitment to service. If you would like a Flyer or Brochure, please feel free to download what you need. The college may be either a 2 or 4-year institution. Members must be at least 14 years old, and if under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must sign the application. Qualifying for membership recognizes your outstanding achievement and significant contribution to your community.

  • Members demonstrate commitment based on the numbers of hours volunteered during the academic year (from July to June each year) with levels as follows:

    • Provisional membership with less than 10 hours: member pledges to complete at least 10 hours by end of school year; if not completed, the member may not renew.
    • General: Minimum of 10 but less than 25 hours per school year
    • Bronze: More than 25 hours per school year
    • Silver: More than 50 hours per school year
    • Gold: More than 75 hours per school year
    • Platinum: More than 100 hours per school year
    • National Fellow: More than 400 hours accumulated during the four years of high school or college

  • Complete the Registration Application.

For initial membership, students may use verifiable service performed during the past 6 months towards their achievement level.

"Community service has shown me how one person can make a difference in the world, even if it is by helping one person at a time."
