Platinum Torch National Service Honorary registration is offered to:

• All high school students attending schools in the United States, freshman through senior year.
  
• Students atttending either 2 tor 4 year colleges or universities in the United States.
  
• Public and private college undergraduates and post-graduate students in the U.S. who have distinguished themselves by their commitment to service.
  
• Students at least fourteen years old.
  
• All service must be performed for a United States based service organization; service for this organization may be performed in another country.
  
• A lifetime membership fee of $25 is charged upon registration.
  

• Members demonstrate commitment based on the numbers of hours volunteered during the academinc year (from July to June each year) with levels as follows:
  
  
• Guest : registered on website, but no service hours entered
  
• Gold : less than 100 hours per school year.
  
• Platinum : more than 100 hours per school year.
  
• National Fellow : more than 750 hours of service over three consecturive academic years.
  
  

• For initial membership, students may use verifiable service performed during the past 6 months towards their achievement level.
